A NIGHT of murder mystery and suspense awaits the audience of Alvechurch Dramatic Society’s production of a Francis Durbridge thriller, writes Sophie Wheeler.

The spring production of Deadly Nightcap will be staged at the village hall from April 26 to 28.

The thriller set in the 1980s centres around a murder investigation full of twists, turns and blind alleys after an unexpected visitor changes everything, leading to a murder investigation full of adultery, blackmail and vengeance.

The London critics said: “If you enjoy the very best of thrillers, see Deadly Nightcap, it’s a night to remember for any fan of mystery, murder and edge of your seat suspense.”

The players are previous award winners from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association for their version of The Importance of Being Earnest and pantomime Orphan Belle and this production promises to leave the audience guessing right to the end.

Tickets at £7 (£6 for concessions) are available from The Lounge, Alvechurch, by email: [email protected] or on 0121 447 7071.
