AFTER the postponement of the Blackwell Summer Party in the Park this summer due to the pandemic, the fifth Blackwell Festival will now take place next Saturday, September 11.
The event – at Linthurst Road, Blackwell – will feature nine local bands and performers throughout the day, along with a range of food vendors, a licensed bar and activities for children. The confirmed music line-up so far includes Josie Field, Take Cover, The Tangents, The Needless, Born in the 80s and Split Second.
Blackwell Festival Charity is a non-profit organisation which puts on activities in the village for the local community to enjoy.
Magentis Solutions, a Catshill-based print and photocopier business, is an official sponsor for the event.
Magentis director Luke Rawlins said: “This is a fantastic event, and I am thrilled to be able to help in some small way – the festival is not only a great day out but showcases some of the brilliant talent that we have around here.
“Particularly after the last 18 months, with such uncertainty, to be able to get together and have some fun will be very special and certainly something to look forward to.”
Chair of Blackwell Festival Committee Emma Watson added she was thrilled with Magentis Solutions’ sponsorship.
“The funding will go a long way in helping us provide our best event yet”
