A SERVICE of thanksgiving to The Queen takes place at Bromsgrove’s St John’s Church at 6pm on Saturday, September 17.
It will pay homage to the monarch’s life and will feature readings and tributes from invited guests including Bromsgrove District Council Chairman, Coun Rod Laight and Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid.
Guests should arrive from 5.40pm as there will be a civic party procession prior to the start of the service.
Bromsgrove District Council Chairman, Coun Rod Laight, said: “All are welcome to attend our joint service of thanksgiving and I hope residents will join us to reflect on the incredible life of our late monarch.”
For residents who cannot attend, St John’s Church has arranged for the service to be live streamed via YouTube here.
St John’s will also be open on Monday, the day of the Queens funeral, for private prayers.
