A BRITPOP band hailing from Redditch and Bromsgrove are heading down south for the seventh annual World Pasty Championships.

Dodgy will be playing at the Eden Project, Cornwall in March, alongside Cornwall-based band 3 Daft Monkeys and Hedluv + Passman.

Formed in 1990, Dodgy have released three albums and enjoyed 12 Top 40 singles, including Staying Out For The Summer and their massive signature hit Good Enough, one of the most played tracks on British radio in the past 20 years.

Black Country boy Matthew Priest of Dodgy, moved to Bromsgrove aged 13 when he met his Redditch bandmate Nigel Clark and formed Dodgy, who enjoyed top chart success in the 90s.

In their early days the band played the Palace Theatre in Redditch and several pubs in Bromsgrove including the Golden Cross Hotel.

Entries are open for the seventh annual World Pasty Championships, now firmly established as one of the greatest celebrations of Cornwall’s culinary gift to the world.
