A SECOND anniversary charity event held by Butcher’s Block raised more than £800 for two good causes.

Lil’s Baps were back out on Bromsgrove Market for the first time since lockdown especially for the event which sees the Primrose Hospice and SOBS (Survivors of bereavement by suicide) get £400 each.

As well as Lil’s famous fodder – given away in return for a donation – the wife-wife team of Lilith and Michelle Holsey-Sheppard raffled off a £50 meat hamper.

Lilith said the market seemed busier than ever.

“It was so great to see so many out to support our charity day.

“We are fortunate to have incredibly dedicated customers who have supported us over the last two years.

Michelle added: “It’s by no way been an easy couple of years but we stuck with and without the support of the community, we wouldn’t be in the position we are today.”

Local people helped out on the day and made cakes to celebrate the occasion and the girls promise to make it an even bigger event next year.
