THE CASH raised at this year’s Bromsgrove Carnival has been handed over to representatives of the good causes.
An impressive £4,650 was generated from the event on July 21 which had a film theme.
The crowds came out and supported the event, despite heavy rain on the day.
The Timberhonger 10K run and children’s challenge run were also held as part of Bromsgrove Carnival which was officially opened by Mark Williams. The Harry Potter and Father Brown star also gave out the prizes for the best float and best walking float.
The cash is being spread between three good causes – The Rose and Daisy Foundation, The Friends of St John’s Church and the Primrose Hospice.
More than 30 other incredible charities also turned out on the day to benefit from their stalls and highlight what they did.
That means the amount raised for charities and community organisations was significantly higher.
Adam Lote, from the Bromsgrove Carnival Committee, said: “We are immensely grateful to every single person who joined us and showed their support.
“Your kindness and enthusiasm made this year’s carnival an incredible success, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for our community and these wonderful charities.
“Let’s keep the spirit of giving alive, Bromsgrove.
“Thank you for being such an amazing and caring community.”
