A TOTAL of 27 drivers were caught speeding on two roads – one in Bromsgrove and one in Droitwich.
Speed enforcement checks were carried out by Worcestershire’s Operational Patrol Unit officers and the West Mercia Roads Safety Partnership.
The operation was held as part of a campaign by the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC).
The drivers were reported after being clocked breaking the speed limits on the A491 in Hagley and the Kidderminster Road in Droitwich.
The usual penalty for speeding is a £100 fine and three driving licence penalty points.
Those caught can expect fines and points in the post.
Speeding is considered one of the ‘Fatal Four’ offences, along with drink-driving, not wearing a seatbelt and using a mobile phone at the wheel.
