21-year-old man stabbed in Frankley last night

A MAN is in hospital in a serious but stable condition after a stabbing in Frankley last night.

It happened at 8pm in New Street when a 21-year-old man was chased by three other men.

One of the attackers is believed to have been riding a bike before the attack.

The victim was taken to hospital and police are now reviewing CCTV in a bid to ascertain the events leading up to the attack.

Officers said the investigation was still in its very early stages but urged any witnesses or anyone with any information to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
