THE COMMUNITY champion from Bromsgrove’s Morrisons Gareth Worton dressed as ‘Sir Gareth of the Round Table’ and delivered 20 new books to Sidemoor First School, writes Caprice Harrison.
The books for all age groups were donated by the supermarket to encourage the children’s enjoyment of reading.
Gareth Worton said: “I am delighted to join in with the World Book Day celebrations at Sidemoor.”
Sidemoor First’s reading co-ordinator Rosie Stanton, added everyone at the school was extremely grateful for the books.
“It was a pleasure for Gareth to visit our school whilst we were celebrating World Book Day.
“We promote a love of reading and this kind donation from our local community has definitely encouraged that.”
