A BELBROUGHTON man is one of two people to receive £16,000 worth of prizes after triumphing in the latest WINN (Worcestershire Innovation) ‘Make it Happen’ challenge.

The competition ran for eight weeks to find Worcestershire innovators and help accelerate the success of their ideas, products or services through the business-boosting prize.

Tom Doyle, along with Paulo Jamece, will now receive £5,000 business support funding and access to a bespoke support package worth £11,000, providing the perfect platform to develop their ideas, products or services.

Professional advice and assistance will also increase their opportunities and success in the market.

Tom, who won the Health and Care category, is director and founder of NeuroHeadway which provides practical resources for PHSE teachers to help students with their mental health and wellbeing.

He described the funding as ‘wonderful news’ and added: “The opportunity to do this with other contributors and to also receive additional guidance is such an exciting, rewarding initiative.”

Paulo Jamece, director and founder of Sleeping Bubbles – the UK’s first supplier of inflatable bubble tents – won the Science and Technology section.

He said working with sponsors would enable him to showcase his amazing idea.

Coun Marc Bayliss, Worcestershire County Council’s cabinet member for economy and skills, congratulated the pair, adding he looked forward to seeing how the support packages would help their businesses grow.
