140 Bromsgrove homes without electricity after power cut

MORE than 140 homes in Bromsgrove were left without electricity after a power cut this morning.

The properties are in the Charford area, including Lyttleton Avenue and Austin Road, have been affected since around 8am this morning.

The problem was caused by a blown fuse on the network and Western Power Distribution (WPD) engineers are on the scene and carrying out repairs.

The affected postcodes include:




B60 3LB,

B60 3JF,


B60 3LG,

B60 3JE,

B60 3LQ,

B60 3HT,

B60 3PT,

B60 3ND

Some of the properties had their power restored around 11am and there are now 58 still without electricity.

WPD has apologised and said the supply for the rest of the homes should be back on by 2.30pm.
