TOP COMEDIAN Nish Kumar makes his way to Artrix at 7.30pm next Friday (October 14) with his critically-acclaimed show – Actions Speak Louder Than Words Unless You Shout The Words Real Loud.
The 2015 Foster’s Edinburgh Award nominee made it into the Guardian’s top ten shows of Edinburgh Festival last year.
He also won the accolade for best International Show at the New Zealand Comedy Festival and was rated amongst the top five Telegraph shows to see in 2015.
This year’s show follows a political road and includes topics, including gentrification and colonisation with Kumar asking if rich people ruined the world and if hipsters and trendy people are to blame for bad legislation.
He conveys his own conspiracy theories and moots if there is any point in doing comedy about politics and is profiting from political comedy a double standard?
Kumar has appeared regularly on both TV and radio in recent years and, since 2015, has hosted the award-winning topical comedy show, ‘Newsjack’ for Radio 4 Extra.
He has also appeared on Have I Got News For You, The John Bishop Show and Russell Howard’s Stand-Up for Central.
