BBC Radio 5 Live’s Read Out Loud challenge: Speak on national radio this Thursday

Bromsgrove Editorial 28th Sep, 2021   0

Would you like to speak on national radio this Thursday? Now’s your chance with BBC Radio 5 Live’s Read Out Loud challenge.

This Thursday (30th September), BBC Radio 5 Live will be hosting a ‘Read Out Loud’ challenge all day on air.

Throughout the day, 5 Live will hear from an array of listeners who will be reading aloud something that matters to them.

This could be anything; something that’s made them laugh, something that’s made them cry, or something that captures a moment in their life.

Whatever it is, 5 Live wants listeners to video themselves reading it out loud and send it in with a bit of information about why it’s important to them.

The ’Read Out Loud’ challenge comes as part of 5 Live’s Word Matters initiative, a project that has highlighted the importance of adult literacy over recent months – and covered people within the estimated 9 million adults in the UK who struggle with literacy.
