RESIDENTS at Bromsgrove’s Burcot Grange and Lodge partnered with Blackwell Primary School to celebrate the return of its community Easter festival.

This was the first time the festival had taken place since the pandemic and saw 150 people turn up to enjoy the egg-citing Easter activities.

Easter bunnies greeted the children and their parents, and the youngsters were able to pet and feed animals including Shetland ponies and lambs.

The children were jumping for joy when they got the chance to hold the rabbits that were housed in the care home’s conservatory.

Guests also enjoyed some bunny-shaped shortbread followed by an Easter egg hunt around the home’s garden.

Everyone who took part in the hunt was given a chocolate treat and some shortbread to take home with them.

The home has a well-established relationship with the school and pupils often come to the home to read stories to the residents.

The festival also served as a fund-raising event for Primrose Hospice.
