Bromsgrove firefighters to hold charity car wash on Saturday

Bromsgrove Editorial 7th Apr, 2023   0

MOTORISTS in Bromsgrove district and from further afield can get their cars washed on Saturday, April 8, and raise cash for a great cause.

Firefighters will have their sponges and buckets at the ready from 10am to 3pm and drivers can have their cars and vans sparkling in return for a donation.

A group of Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue members are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge next month for the Fire Fighters Charity.

The cash raised at the car wash will also go to the cause.

The Three Peaks Challenge sees groups take on the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scaffell Pike) and Wales (Mount Snowdon).

On top of that, the firefighters will also ride from mountain to mountain – some 500 miles in total – and aim to complete it all in just five days.

The Fire Fighters Charity provides specialist lifelong support for members of the UKs fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. The charity supports serving members of operational and support staff, retired members and their families.
