TWO PEOPLE were arrested and a substantial amount of cash was recovered after a car was pulled over police at Frankley Services.

The stop was made at the service station off the M5 by officers from Worcestershire Operational Patrol Unit (OPU).

The officers were out on patrol as part of Operation Radar.

A search of the car revealed the money, suspected of being proceeds of crime, in the glove compartment. The pair were arrested on suspicion of money laundering.

Operation Radar is a targeted project between local policing areas, force intelligence teams and Operation Patrol Units (OPU).

The aim is to tackle those involved in County Lines drug-dealing and other criminals using the road network.
