WORK on a ‘pocket orchard’ begins tomorrow (Friday, February 3) in Alvechurch.
The new trees will be going in just off Station Road and Scarfield Hill.
The new trees going in will be planted by volunteers from The Worcester-Birmingham and Droitwich Canals Society who will be joined by a team from the Canal and River Trust.
He added the area could be accessed by the gate and opening near bridge 60 with space also available for parking.
Anyone wanting more information or to volunteer to help out can just turn up after 9am tomorrow or email volunteer coordinator Neil Franklin at [email protected] for further information on the scheme.
