KIND-HEARTED staff at Cofton Park Manor Home have put a smile on children’s faces after donating specialised ‘stand aids’ to Chadsgrove School.

The Meadow Road school encourages youngsters living with physical disabilities or complex health needs to develop their independence

The donation will enable the Chadsgrove children to stand while exercising.

Cofton Park opened last month, creating 45 jobs and offering residential, dementia and nursing care.

Home manager Kerry Hill said she hopes the equipment makes a big difference to the children, adding the school does amazing work.

Chadsgrove schools physical support team lead, Rachel Burton added: “The children are enjoying this new opportunity provided by the ‘stand aid’ to allow them to carry out a supported standing transfer, something they previously haven’t been able to do in school.

“We are hoping with regular use, their muscles will get stronger, and this will help support their physical development.”
