RESIDENTS are being urged to have their say on a licensing application for a new music venue in Rubery.

The proposal has been put forward by Coventry-based KMCH Ventures Ltd for the building in New Road which used to house a school uniform shop.

The licence requested would see alcohol available for sale from 11am to 1am Monday to Saturday and between 11am and midnight on Sunday.

It has also requested permission for the playing of recorded music from 10am to midnight Monday to Thursday and between 10am to 1am Friday to Sunday and live music performances between midday and midnight Sunday to Thursday and midday to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

There will also be acoustic music performed at the venue.

A consultation period is now being held, during which time a number of agencies will be asked for comment, including the police, fire safety department, planning services, safeguarding, community protection and others.

Residents can email their views to [email protected] and also via post to: Worcestershire Regulatory Services, Licensing, Wyre Forest House, Finepoint Way, Kidderminster, DY11 7WF.
