Still time to donate to toy appeal at Sainsbury's Longbridge for families in need

THERE is still time for people to donate to the appeal for toys to ensure all children in Longbridge, Frankley and other south west Birmingham areas will have a present to open on Christmas Day.

A donation point trolley is still open at Sainsbury’s Longbridge as part of the drive which has been organised by Gemma and Andy Cartwright, Geraghty’s Butchers, Frankley Family Forum and the supermarket.

Gemma told the Standard: “We have been overwhelmed by the kindness in our community so thank you to all those who have donated so far but there is still some time left to contribute at Sainsburys Longbridge by the customer service point.

“These gifts will be gifted to local children and young people really makes amazing difference locally.”

The toys need to be new and will all go to children who would otherwise not have a gift on Christmas Day.
