DRIVERS are being urged to take care on the roads this morning after heavy rain led to roads across Worcestershire flooding.
In Bromsgrove, near Morrisons, the main A38 is flooded. Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
Down the road in Longbridge, the main A38 is also flooded with a car stranded in the water. Drivers are urged to proceed with caution.
There is also deep surface water on the A456 between Kidderminster and Blakedown.
The A449 south of Kidderminster is also flooded. Worcestershire Highways engineers are on the scene jetting the drains in a bid to get the water to subside. The road may have to be closed while the work takes place.
Swinton Lane in Worcester is also flooded.
The slip road at Junction 3 of the M5 (Quinton) is also shut because of flooding. Earlier, two lanes were closed on the southbound carriageway between Junction 2 (Oldbury) and Junction 3. They are now back open.
There are also reports of cars struggling to get through on Main Road and Apple Tree Walk in Holt Fleet.
In Worcester, Swinton Lane, St John’s flooded earlier.
Drivers going through floodwater should do so slowly and test their brakes as soon as they come out the other side.
