Bromsgrove to be severely impacted by upcoming rail strikes

Bromsgrove Editorial 28th Sep, 2022   0

THE UPCOMING rail strikes are set to severely impact passengers in Bromsgrove, with industrial action taking place across three dates in the coming week.

Members of the ASLEF, RMT and TSSA unions will be taking industrial action on Saturday, October 1.

In addition, ASLEF members will be taking action on Wednesday, October 5 and RMT will strike on Saturday, October 8.

As a result no West Midlands Railway services will be available on any route on October 1 and October 5.

Then on Saturday, October 8 between 7.30am and 6.30pm there will be two trains an hour on the Cross-City Line between Lichfield Trent Valley and Redditch and Bromsgrove via Birmingham New Street.

West Midlands Railway customer experience director Jonny Wiseman said: “It is disappointing that our passengers’ journeys will continue to be affected on three more days of industrial action in October.

“Customers holding purchased tickets can travel on alternative days or they will be entitled to a refund.”

He added services will be impacted on mornings following action.
