Hit and run crash in Hollywood on Saturday is now being treated by police as 'attempted murder'

POLICE investigating a hit and run crash in Hollywood in which a 16-year-old boy was seriously injured is now being treated by police as attempted murder.

The collision happened on Hollywood Lane at 9.30pm and, after striking the teenager, the driver of the car left the scene.

The boy was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, with potentially life changing injuries.

Officers investigating the incident have urged witnesses, anyone with information or anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage to get in touch.




Police believe there was a woman, currently unknown, who saw what happened.

Officers have urged for her to contact them as she could be a key witness to the collision.
