A BROMSGROVE resident is appealing for donations to bring his jungle puppies back home from Thailand.
Joshua Davies moved to Thailand with his partner a year ago for work.
The cheapest accommodation they could find was in the jungle, which lead them to seeing the abuse to animals first hand.
Joshua said: “I fed, looked after and played with over 20 dogs around the village every day but unfortunately many got poisoned and passed away.
“The abuse was horrific. My puppies came from a litter of four, we believed them to be about two weeks old when we saved them.
“They were all going to be killed by their owner as he didn’t want more dogs. I had two and my close neighbour also had two.”
The puppies Joshua rescued are called Mangkhoot and Khanoon (mangosteen and jackfruit in English)
They are both female and are now around seven months old. Their breed is ridgeback mix cross with poodle.
Joshua has now returned home to Bromsgrove however doesn’t have the funds to bring his puppies back with him.
He added: “The cost to bring both dogs back to the U.K is £2,494.
“I miss them so much, they have helped us both gain confidence, courage and taught us countless lessons we would have never learned if it wasn’t for them.”
