DRIVERS are keeping an eagle eye on petrol prices following the spike in the cost of living.
Prices rose by seven per cent in the 12 months to March, their fastest rate for 30 years and up from 6.2 per cent in February.
The most up-to-date average fuel prices from the RAC revealed unleaded is currently priced at 161.93p while diesel sits at 175.89p

Redditch remains cheaper – if you are out that way……
As previously reported in the Standard in January, fuel prices in Redditch are several pence cheaper per litre than they are in Bromsgrove – although the difference has narrowed.
If you are anywhere near Redditch, unleaded is 153.7 at Murco (Beoley), 154.7 (Harvest Energy Redditch), 155.7 (Morrisons) and 155.9 (Sainsbury’s).
Diesel prices are 169.7 at Morrisons in Redditch and at Murco (Beoley).
