Bosses say the area takes on a whole new beauty in the autumn and winter months which can help people with their new year fitness campaigns.

One example is Arley Arboretum in Bewdley has previously been awarded the ‘best place to see the autumnal colours’ in the UK as voted for by Countryfile.

A Visit Worcestershire spokesperson said: “Here at Visit Worcestershire, we couldn’t agree more, we would just and always enjoy taking the opportunity to remind people, the whole county has spectacular views and stomping grounds all year round.

“From The Malvern Hills to Wychavon Way – our county has plenty of places for you to get your steps in and help keep your spirits up.

“There is something for everyone and there are plenty of places that are worth dusting off the walking boots for a longer hike or just your trainers for a leisurely dog walk.”

As nights stay dark and cold, and with fog rolling in, the organisation added there were also plenty of best pub walks to enjoy in the county, with awesome views with roaring log fires and amazing winter warmers.

“So why not dig out your cosy scarves scarf and bobble hat, and head on the most colourful route to a tasty hot chocolate or pub lunch.”
