Bromsgrove law firm MFG chooses the Primrose Hospice as its charity of the year

A BROMSGROVE law firm will raise funds for the Primrose Hospice in the next 12 months after naming the cause as its ‘Charity of the Year’, writes Shnae Harrison.

The staff at MFG solicitors voted for the hospice and will now plan a number of events and fundraising activities for the charity which supports people living with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones.

The new collaboration started with a fun ‘Primrose Day’ event, based on the hospice’s yellow theme.

It was held at the firm’s High Street office where £230 was raised by staff selling homemade bakes and hosting a raffle.

Carol Godwin, MFG’s conveyancing administrator, said: “So many staff here at MFG know the amazing things Primrose Hospice does for its patients and their families every day so we are delighted to be supporting them as our local office charity over the next 12 months.

“They provide a vital service for the community and we are looking forward to doing all we can to help through the many events we have planned and will present the charity with a healthy cheque this time next year.”

As the charity relies on funding to continue, it must raise £1.75million every year.

The charity offers different forms of therapy alongside Family Support Centres for bereavement and counselling for families and the community.
