Activities at Jellybabies Nursery in Longbridge shed light on Diwali

Bromsgrove Editorial 15th Nov, 2021   0

CHILDREN from Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School have been learning about Diwali with a number of activities.

The youngsters at the nursery, based at Longbridge Methodist Centre, have been exploring light and dark and coloured lights by using torches.

They have also made Diyas (Diwali lights), decorated rangoli patterns and learning about the festival’s story – including acting it out.

Nursery manager Jacqueline Walker said: “We believe in teaching the children about various cultures and festivals.

“It is essential that during their formative years at nursery children learn positive attitudes and behaviours towards those with different identities to their own.”
