Generous Jellybabies Nursery youngsters donate items for local foodbank as part of harvest celebrations

YOUNGSTERS from Jellybabies Nursery took part in their annual harvest festival service to help those less fortunate.

Proud parents and grandparents looked on at the service, led by Rev Cleopas and Hazel Atwell from Longbridge Methodist Church and nursery manager Jacqueline Walker.

Items were donated for the local foodbank and children learnt about the diverse world they live in and about the harvest.

They explored where food comes from and how it grows.




They also performed the actions songs and rhymes, including Dingle Dangle Scarecrow and the Little Red Hen Rap and each child received a ‘well done’ certificate from Rev Cleopas.

Jacqueline said: “We had a fantastic response from parents and carers who brought in donations and it was such a lovely way for the children to learn about the wider world and how they can help others.”
