Children and young people urged to 'come and make music' at Bromsgrove's Birdbox this Saturday

MUSIC will be filling the air during a special event at Bromsgrove’s Birdbox from 10.30am to 2.30pm this Saturday, September 18.

The Severn Arts Travelling Music Box will arrive, along with instruments, recording equipment and tailored musical experiences.

It is being put on by the organisers of the Bromsgrove Festival which, like many events, had to be cancelled this year.

Those who go along on Saturday can record their own versions of their favourite songs, become a DJ for the day, take part in a ukulele jam or immerse themselves in a fully digital music experience.

A spokesperson for Severn Arts – which will be tailoring their experiences to individuals and groups – said: “We want to give children and young people as many opportunities as we can to engage with music and develop their creativity.

“We know making music can transform lives but not everyone has the same access to opportunities, and we want to change this.

“The Travelling Music Box will be a fun way of taking musical activity to new places and different people.”
