SEVERAL drivers were caught out during a police-led operation at Hopwood Services on the M42.
Numerous vehicles were stopped and checked during the operation yesterday.
Motorists were issued with PG9 prohibition notices for having unroadworthy or unsafe vehicles.
Others checked were deemed to be overweight or have unsafe loads, one drug driver was caught and another was found with cannabis.
The operation was carried out by Operational Policing Units, in conjunction with DVSA enforcement officers, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs and UK Border Force.
