A CELEBRATORY weekend will be held at Bromsgrove’s Avoncroft Art Centre, Redditch Road, next Saturday and Sunday, August 21 and 22.
Painting, drawing, pottery, ceramics, sugarcraft, embroidery, textile art and other activities are regularly held at the centre for the creativity and wellbeing of the community.
As many groups had to shut down over the past 18 months to survive the pandemic, the return of classes and groups is set to be welcomed by all and Avoncroft Arts Centre, the society and its members are happy to be able to open once again.
Some used Zoom to keep members – many who live alone – active during the restrictions, enabling much-needed communication and interaction.
The AAC has a positive committee with new enthusiastic trustees keen to take the centre forward to a brighter future.
Visitors will be able to find an activity to inspire them to release their creativity and join a class or group of welcoming like-minded people.
The centre prides itself on the professionalism of tutors who aim to make all abilities welcome.
Although there has been a surge of interest in arts and crafts, there are still places available for the September term.
