STAFF at Bromsgrove’s Chadsgrove School have created their own ‘Covid Sea Shanty’ to mark the end of a tough school year and the start of the summer holidays.
The song, featuring some impressive harmonies, is based on Scottish postman Nathan Evans’ Wellerman which found fame on TikTok and then went to number one in the UK charts.
The lyrics look back at the Covid-19 pandemic and talk about the isolation, lockdown decisions taken by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, testing, safety measures and remote learning.
