AFTER a challenging lockdown and with Covid-19 restrictions gradually lifting across the UK, social housing provider Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (BDHT) has been keeping residents’ spirits up with outdoor musical performances across its Independent Living Schemes.

Residents at the Lowes Court development were treated to the sounds of the 1950s and 60s, with local musician Kevin Mack performing classic hits from the golden age of music, including those made famous by the Rat Pack.

Hannah Ross, independent living manager at bdht, said: “The Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns have had a massive impact on many people across the UK and we’ve seen this first hand with our residents across our assisted living schemes who have been unable to see and spend time with loved ones.

“Now the sun has come out and the latest Government guidance has been updated allowing for socially distanced outdoor gatherings for up to 30 people, we wanted to celebrate the start of summer in style and lift everyone’s spirits.”
