SCOUTS Bromsgrove is appealing for new volunteers to help with the running of the group’s activities.
And to encourage people to sign up, members have created a special video to celebrate all of their virtual work during the pandemic.
Highlights include hosting virtual camps, taking part in group cooking sessions and finishing the Three Peaks Challenge from the comfort of their own living rooms.
Scout leaders also decided to transform the group’s Catshill headquarters, with the entire hut undergoing a major refurbishment.
A scout spokesperson said: “Leaders, parents and young people stepped up to the challenge of going virtual. Using a screen became the new normal.
“We are now preparing to return to face-to-face scouting and we’re very excited by this.
“It’s a mammoth task with social distancing and making sure everything is Covid secure.
“But all of this will be worth it when we see the smiles on the faces of our members.”
No previous scouting experience is needed to become a volunteer.
“You just need to want a new adventure, want to sit around a fire, meet new friends and learn new skills,” added the spokesperson.
