THOUSANDS of us in Bromsgrove, Rubery, South Birmingham and further afield woke this morning to a winter wonderland as snow fell in the early hours.

And whilst flurries do tend to bring disruption and chaos to the roads, it also brings beauty and a rare opportunity to take part in activities – such as sledging and snowmen building – that we hardly ever have chance to do.
