A STOLEN car was found abandoned in Rubery after making off from police in the village.
It was pursued by officers in the early hours of yesterday morning but the thieves managed to escape.
The car, stolen from the West Midlands Police force area the night before, has been recovered and has now been sent off for forensic examinations in a bid to identify the culprits.
