Man seriously hurt after being hit by car in Northfield

A MAN in his 60s was seriously hurt when he was hit by a car in Northfield.

It happened around 6pm on Wednesday (December 9) as he crossed the Bristol Road, opposite the Shell garage

He suffered multiple fractures to his legs and face and was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The 29-year-old driver of a Ford Focus was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving.




He has been questioned by officers and has since been released on bail while investigations continue.

Det Sgt Richard Forrester, of Force CID, said: “This collision has left a man very seriously injured and we’re trying to establish exactly what happened.


“Bristol Road is busy at that time of the evening and we’d ask anyone who saw the incident or has any dash cam footage to get in touch with us.”
