Plans for this year's Bromsgrove's Remembrance Sunday commemorations released

Bromsgrove Editorial 27th Sep, 2020   0

THE DETAILS of this year’s scaled down Remembrance Sunday parade have been released by the Bromsgrove Royal British Legion.

To comply with the Government’s guidelines there will be no march through the town.

Participants will meet at the war monument on Crown Close at 10.30am on November 8.

Standards will be placed in position where they will remain two metres apart.

Each organisation can only have three people – a standard bearer, wreath layer and one other (two people for organisations with no standard).

Wreaths will be placed on the green where each organisation will be located, again with social distancing in place.

The road will be closed from 10.30am to allow more space for social distancing and council stewards will ensure that happens.

Amphlett Hall will not be open and there will be no seating available.

The whole service will be streamed live online with details released nearer the time.

Those wanting a wreath need to email RBL Poppy Organiser Jeff Evans at [email protected] before next Saturday, October 3.
