‘STICK to the lockdown regulations and stop the spread of the virus this bank holiday weekend’ – that’s the message from Bromsgrove Police after officers were forced to break up a gathering yesterday.
The officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team were on a regular foot patrol in the district when they encountered a group of more than 15 adults and children from different households, congregating and flouting social distancing regulations.
The easing of the lockdown regulations states you can meet one-on-one with another person from outside your household but still have to be two metres apart.
It is suggested people meet in open spaces, such as a park.
You can also now go for as many exercise sessions per day as you want and even drive to other areas to undertake them – as long as the two-metre social distancing rules are adhered to.
Following yesterday’s incident, the Bromsgrove SNT said: “Let’s stop the spread this bank holiday weekend.”
