A FORMER RAF pilot was central to the VE Day 75 celebrations at Bromsgrove’s St John’s Court care home.
Leon, who is 99, said it was glorious to celebrate the momentous occasion.
Despite the lockdown conditions residents made the most of the beautiful sunshine and had buffet food, tea and cake throughout the day.
The residents enjoyed sitting outside, listening to music and reminiscing about what they remembered of VE Day.
Home manager Faye Maycroft said: “It was a lovely sight to see especially after a difficult few weeks.”
