THE SESSION to plant 300 trees on Charford Rec on Saturday, March 21, has been postponed because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Love Where You Live campaign had organised the event and appealed for volunteers to help out on the day.
The decision was taken in response to the Prime Minister’s advice on Monday about people avoiding large gatherings to prevent spreading the virus and to protect the vulnerable.
The organisers thanked everyone for their support and The Standard for publicising the event.
Details will be released when the event is rescheduled.
