STAFF and pupils from Catshill Middle School ditched their uniforms on Friday for a good cause and undertook a host of fitness-related activities, raising £348 for Children In Need, writes John Tait.

They participated in Joe Wick’s workout with 343 pupils motivated to take up the challenge.

One pupil Freya Smith 13, said: “It was a fun thing to do to raise money and it helped with our fitness.”

Students in years five to eight attempted to do as many squats or burpees in 90 seconds as they could.

A group of 16 students led the exercises and encouraged their peers in their task.

A school spokesperson said it was a great way to remember those less fortunate whilst fund-raising through a fun activity.

Mr Grazier who organised the event said: “It’s been a brilliant effort by all students and staff and another great example of the Catshill spirit.”
