FOODIES from across the district will be able to go to the first ever Bromsgrove Dining Club event which takes place from 11am to 6pm next Saturday, August 3, writes Sophie Nixon.
Bromsgrove District Council which has organised the event say there will be something for everyone and an ‘out of this world’ experience, particularly as there will be two performances from a futuristic gravity-defying astronaut at 11am and 2pm.
In the show the space-suited traveller ‘Urban Astronaut’ arrives from a polluted and inhospitable future Earth and meets a girl, together they raise questions about whether the human race change and avoid a ‘poisoned future’.
A no strings, unique flying machine is also to be part of the performance which marks the start of Bromsgrove’s ‘Space Week’, where many more spaced-themed activities will take place throughout the town such as rocket building, showings of Apollo 11 and Alien at Artrix and the Summer Reading Challenge.
The street food, presented by the popular Digbeth Dining Club (Birmingham), will be available on the Bromsgrove Recreation Ground (REC), near ASDA.
The festival will boast renowned vendors including Only Jerkin’, Original Patty Men, Bournville Waffle Co, Dim Sum Su, Urban Cheesecake and many more.
Bromsgrove District Council leader Coun Karen May said: “This summer Bromsgrove will be better than ever and bustling once again with our range of top quality events.
“It promises to be a fantastic Saturday in Bromsgrove.”
