THE Redditch Orchestra presents a Last Night of the Proms concert for all of the family this Saturday, June 30 at 7pm, to celebrate their 70th birthday and as part of Bromsgrove festival.
Featuring a mixture of animal inspired pieces, this includes Carnival Of The Animals and music from the Lion King, as well as the traditional last night of the proms favorites like, Jerusalem and more plus plenty of joining in for all ages.
Rachel Longfils-Bento, flautist with Redditch Orchestra said: “One of the songs featured is the ‘a grand zoological fantasia’ where we introduce the sounds of a number of wild and tamed animals, birds and fish before the whole zoo turns up for a final chirp.
“And we’ll be playing some of the Proms favourite sing-a-longs with Land Of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and rule Britannia.”
The concert is at Artrix in Bromsgrove and tickets are £12 per person, £10 for concessions and £3 for Under 16s .
