DOG OWNERS and their four-legged friends can take part in a charity walk in Hanbury on Sunday, April 7, writes Annie Lucas.
‘Go Walkies’ at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre will raise funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
There will be a choice of three walks ranging from short strolls around the centre’s gardens and Hanbury’s Circular Walk which is six-and-a-half miles and takes participants through areas of woodland and along the canal.
Jinney Ring owner Amanda Sunter, said: “This year’s Go Walkies will be the biggest yet with a dog-friendly café, puppy walking demonstrations and a scurry.”
There will also be speakers from the charity highlighting how guide dogs have provided life-changing support, and it is hoped a minimum of £10 will be raised through sponsorship or donations for each dog brought along.
Group walks will begin at the garden marquee from 9.30am until 1pm.
Additionally, dog walkers may embark on self-guided walks at any point between 9am and 4pm.
