A BROMSGROVE couple have organised a charity masquerade ball to raise money for children’s charities, writes Eve Watson.
The cash collected will be donated to Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House.
James Archer and his wife Kirsty were inspired to raise funds after their close friends, Dave and Sam Johnston from Alvechurch, were given the news that their ten-month-old baby girl had a brain tumour.
Over the last six months Grace has had multiple operations, long stays on intensive care and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
She is still unwell and has unfortunately lost her sight, however the family hope this might return in time.
James said: “Dave and Sam told us that a lot of the care Grace had in hospital was made possible by the Ronald McDonald House charity.
“Me and my wife decided to invite all our friends and do the ball to raise money for the charity since it helped them so much.”
The masquerade ball will be held on February 23 at Stourport Manor Hotel.
The tickets for the masquerade ball have been sold but they are hoping people will help boost the coffers further.
