ANOTHER warning has been issued to drivers after a car was stolen from Oak Road in Wythall this morning after the owner had left it unattended with the engine running to de-ice it.

The black Ford CMax, which had the partial registration ‘KK SOE’ was taken from the driveway.

The incident has prompted police to re-issue its advice that if people are going to have their engine running to use the windscreen heaters, they need to stay with their vehicle.

As well as the inconvenience of having a car stolen, insurance companies will refuse to pay out because adequate security steps to secure the vehicle were not taken.

Witnesses or anyone with any information on this morning’s theft should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
