Black Horse continue 100 per cent winning league record

BLACK Horse continued their 100 per cent record in Bromsgrove League Division One with an emphatic 9-0 victory over Hizza United.

That is now eight wins from eight for Horse who are 11 points clear of second-placed Austin Ex Apprentices.

Austin were also among the goals as they eased past Chaddesley Ravens 6-0.

Reece Ward (3), Michael Teji, Carl Martin and Brad Bullimore were on target.




Division Two leaders Studley Swan were on the wrong end of a thumping as they were thrashed 7-1 by Quinton Athletic.

Matt Carter led the way with a hat-trick for Quinton, with Anton Gardner-Bennett, Lee Smiley, Jason Quinn and Jordan Allmark completing their scoring.


Lickey End Social were also in seventh heaven as they eased to a 7-2 victory away at Chaddesley Pensioners while Longbridge Social downed Meadow Park 6-3.

Luke Wyatt (2), Tom Jack, Reece Kindon, Dom Strevens and Nathan Williams netted for Longbridge.

Division Three leaders Hewell suffered back-to-back defeats as they were comfortably beaten 4-1 by SO Goose.

Ryan Dixon (2), Nick Grant and Ash Thompson scored for Goose.

Lewis Smith bagged four goals in Catshill’s 8-1 demolition of Stoke Prior while Paul Halfpenny, Ashley Bunn, Paul Badger, Adam Pillinger, Miles Wyatt and Adam Laight netted in Bromsgrove Academicals’ 6-1 victory over AFC Norton.

Bartley Reds Sunday booked their place in the first round of the Rose Bowl with a 3-0 victory over Millfield Rovers, thanks to goals from David Delaney, Lee Clarke and Ricky Taylor.

Dave Phelan helped himself to five goals to fire Winyates to an 8-3 success at Royal Eagles in the first round of the WA Harris Cup.

Brad Hands (2) and Kieron Madden were also on target for Winyates.

Elsewhere, Tom Mason bagged a hat-trick for Bromsgrove Corinthians who reached the semi-finals of the Division One cup with a 3-2 victory over Hawthorns.
