ALMOST £2,000 has been raised for Touchstones child bereavement charity by Bromsgrove’s Castle Nurseries in Perryfields and Parkside.
The parents, children and staff collected £1,325 through sponsored walks and cake sales and the coffers were boosted by a further £500 from the West Bromwich Building Society where one of the parents works.
Touchstones is a charity that helps and supports bereaved children and young people in north-east Worcestershire.
This charity is very close to the heart of Castle Nursery as two of the nursery children were supported by Vicki from the charity during their time of loss.
Keith and Vicky from Castle Nursery said they wanted to thank everyone who took part in the fund-raising.
Steve Perry, West Bromwich Building Society’s retail manager, said supporting the local community was important to the business.
He added Touchstones was a charity which helped people at such a delicate and sensitive stage in their lives which is why the West Brom was delighted to support the cause.
